Detail story

After leaving Mathura-Vrindavan, Lord Krishna had settled in the city of Dwarka on the beach according to the plan of Lord Vishwakarma's fourth son, Tvastar. Gandhari, the mother of the Kauravas, curse the city so it was ruined.

The Pandavas were victorious in the war of Mahabharata. Shri Krishna crowned Yudhishthira and after explaining the rules and regulations related to the state, he went to meet Gandhari, the mother of Kauravas. On the arrival of Krishna, Gandhari cried bitterly and in anger cursed him that the way he has destroyed her family, his Yadav vansh, the family will end in the same way. Shri Krishna was a real God, if he wanted, he could have nullified this curse. He knows the purpose of his birth in human form and is left from Gandhari.

Sri Krishna's son Samba was laughing and joking with his friends. At that, time Maharishi Vishvamitra and Kanva Rishi entered Dwarka. Friends of Samba prepare him like a woman. In the guise of a woman and reaching in front of Maharishi Vishvamitra and Kanva Rishi asked them, this woman is pregnant. Both the sages were very angry at this ridicule of the youths and they said that a 'pestle' would take birth from its womb, from which will destroy evil, uncivilized and cruel people like you and your families.

When Shri Krishna came to know about this incident, he realized that this would happen, it would not go in vain. The next day Samba produced a 'pestle'. King Ugrasen threw this pestle into the sea.

After 36 years of the Mahabharata war, a lot of bad omens started happening in the city of Dwarka. Krishna asked all the Yaduvanshi men to go on a pilgrimage. Everyone left for the pilgrimage from the city of Dwarka. People clashed and started quarreling with each other when reached in Prabhas area. Some debate turned into a quarrel and the quarrel turned into a fight. During this, Samba produced the pestle, whoever uprooted the grass in the Prabhas area during the battle turned into a pestle. Sri Krishna's other son Pradyumna was also killed in this battle.

Krishna reached Prabhas soon after he got the news. In the end, only Shri Krishna, his charioteer Daruk and Balarama were alive. Sri Krishna told their father Vasudevji about this massacre and requested that he would go to Hastinapur with the remaining women and children of the city.

Balram Ji was in deep meditation. As soon as Sri Krishna arrived, Shesh nag left his body and went into the sea. Shri Krishna was resting under a tree. One hunter, Jara, thought of his toe as the mouth of a deer and shoot an arrow at it. Thus Sri Krishna renounced the body.

Arjuna then went to Prabhas and performed the last rites of all the Yaduvanshis. The next day Vasudevji renounced his body. As soon as Arjuna left the city, the Sea absorbed the palace of Dwarka and the city, developed by Tvastar.
